She first got her cutie mark after braving a rainstorm in search of a lost friend, though she first took it as a sign that she was meant to work as a weather pony. As an adult, a brief stint at the Cloud Factory quickly proved Lavender Clouds wrong, as she found she much preferred experiencing the weather over being in charge of it.

Nowadays, Lavender Clouds is much happier as a mailpony. She's especially well-known for being the one to get things delivered in the most unforgiving weather. Some think it's because she's just that dedicated to her job, but it's really like a little treat for her whenever she gets to go out in the rain and splash around.
